To all my Muslim brothers and sisters and to everyone else, I would like to wish you Eid Mubarak or a very Happy Eid! We have successfully come to the end of Ramadan this year! Congratulations!
Ramadan this year was particularly challenging due to the movement control orders and lock downs we all had to contend with as we, as a global community struggle to keep COVID-19 under control. Eid this year will be a very toned-down affair as well as we try our best to keep our bubbles small and minimise contact with large groups of people.
For those of you who are not aware of how Eid is usually celebrated – think Christmas, but with much larger family gatherings and visits to all your friends, extended family and neighbours’ houses. And lots and lots of yummy food! So yeah, this year will be a very, VERY different Eid to what we are used to!
To all my beloved readers, fans and clients – I will be taking Monday (25/05/2020) off to celebrate Eid, so I will not be responding to any messages, comments, emails or requests on that day. I will be back to work on Tuesday (26/05/2020).
