Sam Harith – Business Continuity Planning and Cash Flow Training

Let’s grow strong, together!

Hi there accounting fans!

For today’s blog post I’m going to engage in some shameless self-promotion because….

I’ve been registered as a service provider with the Regional Business Partner network here in NZ!!!

Yaaaay!

This is significant because now you can obtain quality business planning and cash flow management services from me AND get funding from the NZ government for those services!

Awesome right?

Ok, without further ado, allow me to introduce the two new services which I now offer:

COVID-19 business sustainability and continuity programme

The COVID-19 crisis has caused a great deal of uncertainty in the business world, both locally and globally. It is precisely at a time like this that you, as a business owner need to seek professional help and guidance in order to ensure that your business remains profitable, is cash positive and complies with any new regulations and guidelines the government has issued.

I am here to help you with all of that and more through the business sustainability and continuity programme.

The main outcome of this programme is to build stronger businesses and owner confidence by meeting the objectives:

1. Assistance in applying for government help in the form of wage subsidies or cash assistance. We will also help you determine what sort of assistance you are eligible for.

2. Creation of a paper trail of evidence to prove that you have experienced a 30% income decline, are paying 80% of normal wages to your employees and are using your best endeavours to ensure that the subsidy gets paid out correctly to your employees. In this respect we will also help you show proof of best endeavours if you are financially unable to pay your staff at least 80% of normal wages.

3. Record and compile all relevant information and documentation to show that you have engaged in business continuity planning via communication with the Regional Business Partners, Banks and financial institutions and employees of your business.

4. Working out the sort of help you will require from your employees, your customers, your suppliers and your financiers and then developing a communication plan to communicate it to them.

5. Emergency business planning session which will help you rethink your business plan and reframe the core offering of your business to operate within the guidelines set by the government at different stages of the pandemic response.

6. Innovation brainstorming session to help you come up with new ideas on how to operate in the post COVID-19 crisis business world.

This training is charged at $200 an hour (ex-GST). To successfully meet all training objectives, we expect that it will take between 10 to 12 hours of training, depending on the size of the client and the complexity of their business. All training will be conducted online via Zoom Meetings. On average this training will cost about $2,200 (ex-GST).

It should be noted that this programme will be conducted over a number of weeks based on the client’s time, size, complexity and industry. I will also personally be checking up on you EVERY WEEK throughout the program to make sure that you are sticking to the plan!! – I mean, I can do it less frequently if you don’t want me to bug you as often.. But where’s the fun in that?

COVID-19 Cash Flow and Budget Training

The COVID-19 crisis has sent your old cash budget into a tailspin! Now it is time to re-look at it and add in some new ideas to better look after your cash during this crisis. This training is designed for small business owners who are looking for better ways to manage their cash during the crisis. The learning objectives of this training are as follows:

1. Identify all existing cash inflows and outflows generated by the business.

2. Predict the timing of future cash inflows and outflows in the months to come.

3. Design a weekly and monthly cash flow forecast for the business over the next 6 months. This includes sensitivity testing and multiple forecasts for different conditions.

4. Build up the business owners’ financial confidence in their ability to manage their cash flows.

5. Suggest and recommend avenues of working capital finance so the business can remain cash liquid during the COVID-19 crisis.

The hourly rate for this training is priced at $200 an hour (ex-GST). Training is conducted via Zoom Meetings online. To successfully meet all training objectives, we will take between 4 to 6 hours depending on the size of client and the complexity of the business. Average price for the whole training will be about $1,000 (ex-GST).

I can also provide additional assistance in uploading your new cash budget into your preferred accounting system (IE Xero) for an additional $200 (ex-GST).

Cash flow is important! It is super important to keep an eye on how that cash moves! That’s why I’m offering this cash flow training to all small businesses affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Yeah!

Awesome!

So with this I am officially moving into the provision of advisory services and best of all, you can get funding for it! TO learn more about applying for the assistance grants, check out this page on the Regional Business Partner’s Website.
